Legacy Collection: Releasing the Nerida Hansen Design Library

After years of creative development and hundreds of unreleased prints and colour concepts intended for future collections, I’ve made the decision to officially close the chapter on my brand. In doing so, I am offering my entire design archive & new collections for sale — a unique and final opportunity to acquire original work spanning my career, including previously unseen designs and many that have enjoyed tremendous success under the Nerida Hansen Fabrics label.

  • Full Illustrator Working Files — Delivered in repeat, at 300dpi, via digital download immediately after purchase.
  • Thumbnail JPGs — For visual reference only (not to be mistaken for print files).

Usage Rights & Purchase Options

Two purchase types are available:

Non Exclusive prints are those that have been used by Nerida Hansen Fabrics in the past or are still being printed for customers, yet there are many brand new colours in this library. Exclusive prints were designed for new release, and have never been used before.

1. Exclusive Purchase (Full Copyright Ownership)

  • Buyer receives complete and outright copyright ownership.
  • All other colourways of that design are withdrawn from sale immediately.
  • Optional Colour Bundles: Add-on to purchase to receive artwork for all alternate colour ways
  • Exclusive purchases allow full design modification, usage across any product category, and freedom to claim the design as your own.
  • Moral rights are retained by me, but no attribution is required.

2. Non-Exclusive Purchase (Perpetual Use)

  • Buyers enjoy unlimited, perpetual usage rights.
  • Non-exclusive purchases are more affordable but do not include exclusivity.
  • The design may still be available to others, but you can use it freely, modify it, and apply it across any product categories.
  • Moral rights are retained by me, but no attribution is required.

Important Restriction:
Regardless of purchase type, you may not re-sell or share the design (or any part of it) with other businesses. This includes the full print, elements within it, or the colour palette/IP.

Design Support & Customisation Services

My style involves creating large bold prints, so most are designed in Adobe Illustrator using a 50-60 cm Artboard. Designs suited to kids products generally begin with a 30 cm dartboard. Scales are not offered because the designs are Vector and can easily be re-scaled to a size suitable for your products. If you need help adapting a design to your specific product range, I will offer optional post-purchase design support — from colour tweaks to scale adjustments, layout variations or even curated coordination across multiple designs. Design fees will apply.

Why This Sale Matters

There have been so many challenges in business that have lead me to withdraw my brand from the marketplace and the decision to no longer use my name as a brand, either for Fabrics or Design has been an emotional one.

But with tens of thousands of meters of fabrics out in the world, I have remained extremely proud of my accomplishments as a curator and designer. Even though my own designs are very simple, they have resonated with thousands of dress-makers worldwide, and I am thrilled to offer an opportunity for other businesses small and large to enjoy my designs as their own, and continue this legacy across all product types.
